The Mid-Cheshire Amateur Radio Society has decided to revamp its annual spring rally. The event, due to take place this year on Sunday 29 April, has been renamed the RadioActive Show and will be hosted in a larger venue.
Roger Reeves, M0ROJ, who organises the exhibition, said: “The RadioActive Show will not only have over 80 stands of top traders and exhibitors, but we are also planning to hold a series of seminars and demonstrations to suit all levels of interest.”
Roger went on to say: “We feel that by providing a more vibrant and varied content at our RadioActive Show and by targeting both younger as well as the more mature enthusiast through focused marketing, we will not only attract new members for both our own and other clubs but we will also be bringing a refreshing change to amateur radio events.”
The new venue for the show is a recently modernised civic hall in the historic market town centre of Nantwich in Cheshire. The venue offers easy access, bright and airy space, and excellent catering and bar facilities. The town’s bus station and extensive car parking are immediately adjacent to the venue, with the M6 Motorway only 15 minutes away.
